Overview
The CPCS A62 Crane Supervisor course offers in-depth training for individuals supervising lifting operations. The course covers essential legislation, including the LOLER and PUWER Regulations, the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), and British Standard 7121: Safe Use of Cranes.
Eligibility
To participate in this course, candidates must have passed the Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test for Specialist Supervisors within the last two years.

- Lift Planning: Preparing lift sites and planning operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspections, maintenance, and thorough examination of lifting equipment and accessories.
- Slinging Techniques: Proper techniques for handling different loads.
- Communication: Effective methods for guiding and supervising lifting operations.
- Lift Operation Control: Executing lift plans and managing operations safely.
- Hazard Identification: Recognizing potential hazards and unsafe practices during lifting operations.

Accreditation
Successful candidates will receive the CPCS Red Card (Trained Operator) endorsed with the Crane Supervisor category. This certification is valid for two years. Within this period, candidates must complete an NVQ to upgrade to the Blue CPCS Card, which remains valid for five years.

We offer on-site training for companies with a minimum of four candidates. A trainer can deliver the course at your company’s location for added convenience.
