Course Description
This Rough Terrain Masted forklift training is provided on-site at your business premises. The course begins with a health and safety presentation on a laptop, followed by a video. Afterward, participants will move on to the practical training and assessment. Ideally, we need a room for the theory session and some empty pallets for the practical training, but we can adjust based on your available space.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of training that complies with UK regulations and meets insurance requirements. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends that refresher training be conducted within a five-year period.
We understand that on-site training may involve occasional delays, such as staff interruptions, and we are flexible in working with the space and time available.

- Operator safety code and essential procedures
- Assessing weight and stability factors
- Safety video
- Starting, stopping, and operating the forklift
- Knowledge assessment
- Maneuvering in both open and confined spaces
- Introduction to the specific lift truck model used
- Operating hydraulic controls
- Conducting daily pre-use inspections and maintenance
- Stacking and unstacking at various heights
- Maintenance and care of batteries, LPG, and diesel forklifts
- Practical test to assess basic operating skills
