Course Description
This Vehicle Mounted (Moffett) forklift training course is delivered on-site at your business location. The training begins with a health and safety presentation via laptop, followed by a video. Participants then proceed with the practical training and assessment. Ideally, we need a room for the theory portion and some empty pallets for the practical exercises, but we are flexible and can adapt to the space available at your site.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of training that complies with UK regulations and meets insurance requirements. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends refresher training every five years.
We understand that on-site training may experience interruptions, such as staff being pulled away, and we are happy to accommodate these situations and adjust to available space.

- Familiarity with forklift controls and instruments
- Adherence to the operator safety code
- Weight and stability assessment
- Safety video presentation
- Starting, stopping, and controlling the forklift
- Knowledge assessment
- Maneuvering in both open and confined spaces
- Introduction to the specific vehicle-mounted lift truck in use
- Operating hydraulic controls
- Performing daily pre-use inspections and basic maintenance
- Stacking and unstacking at various heights
- Attaching and detaching the forklift from the carrying vehicle
- Practical test of basic operating skills
