CPCS – Traffic Marshall

Overview

As one of the largest providers of CPCS Traffic Marshal courses, we run sessions weekly, eliminating long waiting periods.

Our unique training method combines ample revision time with the convenience of having your trainer also act as your tester. This approach ensures a 99% pass rate. Additionally, you can choose your testing schedule, allowing you to take the test when you feel most prepared*!

Eligibility

To enroll in the CPCS A73 Traffic Marshal course, candidates must have passed the CITB/NOCN Health, Safety & Environment Test within the last two years. Please note that while your CSCS card may still be valid, the test result itself may have expired. If this applies to you, a new Health, Safety & Environment Test will be required.

We also offer Health, Safety & Environment Tests at our center for your convenience.

Important Information

  • CSCS Requirement: Candidates must pass the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test within two years before attempting any CPCS test. We provide a SAME DAY CSCS Test service!
  • Photo ID: A valid photo ID is required to take the CPCS tests.

Course Content

Day 1

  • Site induction and introduction to plant and vehicle marshalling.
  • Overview of CPCS test requirements.
  • Health and safety regulations relevant to Traffic Marshals.
  • Roles and responsibilities of a Plant and Vehicle Marshal.
  • Understanding plant types, hazards, limitations, and stability factors.
  • Traffic management planning and site organization.
  • Preparation for the CPCS Theory Test.

Day 2

  • Practical test preparation, including:
    • Safe positioning techniques.
    • Communication methods for directing traffic.
    • Guiding and controlling vehicle movement on-site.
  • Role-playing and vehicle movement exercises.
  • CPCS Theory Test.
  • CPCS Practical Test.

Training Methods

The course combines classroom-based theory with hands-on practical training at our CPCS-approved test center.

Testing

  • Theory Test: Conducted as a verbal Q&A session with a CPCS-certified tester.
  • Practical Test: Candidates will guide a moving vehicle under the observation of a CPCS-approved examiner.

Tutors

Our instructors are CPCS-certified Trainer Card holders with extensive practical experience in the construction industry. They are also qualified educators with years of teaching experience, ensuring effective delivery of both practical and theoretical content.

Accreditation

Upon successfully passing the CPCS A73 Theory and Practical Tests, candidates will immediately receive a CPCS Letter of Achievement. The Red Trained Operator CPCS Card will follow within five working days. We handle the application process for you, so you don’t have to worry!

On-Site Training
