This refresher course is designed for individuals who already hold a valid PTS competency<\/strong> and wish to continue working on or near Network Rail\u2019s infrastructure<\/strong>, including areas adjacent to DC Conductor Rails<\/strong>. The course allows delegates to maintain their certification by meeting the renewal requirements set by Network Rail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pre-requisites<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n

end the PTS Recertification course, the following conditions must be met:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Must be at least 16 years old<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must have Primary Sponsor approval<\/strong> prior to booking<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must meet the medical fitness criteria<\/strong> as outlined in Network Rail Standard NR\/L2\/OHS\/00124<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must have passed a Drugs & Alcohol test<\/strong> as per NR\/L2\/OHS\/00120<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must have a sufficient command of the English language<\/strong>, in accordance with NR\/S\/CTM\/021 (Competence & Training in Track Safety)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must be sponsored by a RISQS-approved railway company<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must provide a PTS Work Experience Logbook<\/strong> with at least 4 completed and endorsed entries<\/strong> within the last 2 years, in line with RTAS Rules v2.0<\/strong>
Entries must be countersigned<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>
For paper logbooks<\/strong>, a Line Manager signature in Section 3<\/strong> (near the back of the book) is mandatory<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n

For digital logbooks<\/strong>, entries must include a Safety Briefing Reference Number<\/strong>; a manager\u2019s signature is not required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must hold a valid PTS competency<\/strong>, or one that has expired within 56 days<\/strong> of the course date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must not be on learning support<\/strong>, as indicated by a green square on the Sentinel profile<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
Must observe a minimum 12-hour rest period<\/strong> before attending the course, in compliance with Working Time Regulations (1998)<\/strong> and Network Rail Standard NR\/L2\/OHS\/003<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
\u26a0\ufe0f Delegates will not be admitted to the course if the Line Manager’s signature is missing from the paper logbook.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Your PTS Recertification (AC\/DCCR)<\/strong> competencies will be uploaded to your Sentinel profile within 24 hours<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
In the event of upload issues, we will aim to resolve them within 5 working days<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
