The course begins with a health and safety presentation on a laptop, followed by a safety video. The training then proceeds to practical exercises and assessment. Ideally, we require a room for the theory session and some empty pallets for the practical part, but we are flexible and can adapt to whatever space is available at your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completion, candidates will receive a certificate of training that meets UK legal requirements and insurance criteria. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends refresher training every five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We understand that on-site training can be affected by interruptions, such as staff being pulled away, and we are prepared to accommodate these situations and make the most of the available space.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hazard identification and risk assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with controls and instruments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adherence to the operator safety code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weight and stability assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety video presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starting, stopping, and controlling the sideloader<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge test<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maneuvering in both open and confined spaces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to the specific sideloader in use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation of hydraulic controls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily pre-use inspections and maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stacking and unstacking at different heights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Care and maintenance of batteries, LPG, and diesel forklifts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical test of basic operating skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course Description This Sideloader forklift training is delivered on-site at your workplace.
